The school has superb science facilities, a new technology block, a multimedia centre and other excellent computer suites. A new Music, Art and Drama block has been built which has some of the best facilities on Merseyside. Maths, English, Humanities and Modern Languages areas have also been upgraded and each has its own suite of rooms. The Sixth Form block is self-contained and housed in the Rectory, a listed building.

Two gymnasia are on-site and PE facilities are supplemented by the use of the nearby Walton Sports Centre. We also have exclusive use during school hours of an exciting new sports development in Walton Hall Park, which includes 6 football pitches (two floodlit) and a new Astroturf pitch (again floodlit). To complement these facilities, a new Sports Centre has been built adjacent to the school to replace the old Queens Drive Baths.

New furniture and equipment have been introduced throughout the school as part of an ambitious programme to provide pupils with a pleasant environment in which to learn.

A new ICT block has been completed, which contains some of the best ICT amenities on Merseyside.

Further buildings work is planned over the next two years. Again, teaching and learning amenities will be improved considerably and the young people of the area will be educated in a school that will provide up-to-date facilities in every curriculum area.
