What a fantastic week great weather, great kids and a great time had by all...
...infact all of the DoE staff who came along for the ride have said that this has been their favourite group of kids to work with and their most enjoyable week in recent memory. That we experienced such a wonderful week is due largely to the attitude, behaviour and effort that all of the kids displayed. I would imagine as I am writing this they are all still struggling to lift their heads off of their pillows.

Having spoken to all of the staff they have been nothing but complimentary about each and every Bronze and Silver participant. It was obvious to all of us how much individuals learnt about themselves and their abilities to succeed in an alien environment. As I am sure they would all agree there have been highs and lows throughout the week, the physical exertion in such blistering heat has tried everyone’s patience and concentration levels but all the young people have successfully completed their relevant expeditions.
So whether you enjoyed your navigation practice, your BBQ, staff karaoke (Hosted by MC Fagan), the sun, the Expedition itself or just being away from school (I will leave it to the pictures to tell the story). Well done to all of you and we look forward to seeing you in September for your Silver and Gold Awards.
Enjoy your summer and stay safe from the Alsop High School DoE Team
P.S. Don’t forget to check your school email and update your profiles before September.
