Duke of Edinburgh's Award
Well it’s been a hectic start to the Duke of Edinburgh’s Award for 2011-12. Last year’s Bronze and Silver groups have been working hard towards completing each of their Award sections on the edofe and the deadline for completion looms ever closer (late December).
Whilst completing their previous Award most have now begun their next level whether that be Silver or Gold and the new Bronze group is up and running with a huge number of year 10 pupils. It is very encouraging to see such a large group committed to working hard and attending week in and week out.

Each of the award groups are working hard already, the Bronze Award have begun their community first aid award with Mr Fagan and Mr Wells. The Silver Award group are undergoing intensive peer mentor training with Mike Francis. Finally the Gold Award group with its largest number of participants ever (22) are helping me to develop a stand for the up-coming careers convention in January, where we will be showing off what we do.
