Alsop High School wish to congratulate teacher Mr Tony Williams for participating in the ‘Virtual London Marathon” on Sunday 4th October 2020. Mr Williams a Head of Year at Alsop ran 26.2 miles across the Wirral to raise funds for St Vincent's School, a specialist school for sensory impairment and other needs (www.stvin.com).
Tony comments: “Challenges are what make life interesting, and overcoming them is what makes life meaningful. I am pleased that the funds raised will make such a big difference to the children of St Vincent's who face challenges most of us can only imagine. Sight is a wonderful gift that most of us take for granted! I would like to thank everyone who supported me and helped me to complete this marathon.”
Dr John Patterson, Principal of St Vincent’s School writes: “Thank you Tony for giving your time, energy and kind thoughts and putting them into action for our pupils. It is much appreciated.”
