Transition from Primary to Secondary

One of the biggest challenges that any student faces during their academic career is the transfer from primary to secondary school. We are confident that we have an excellent transition programme to ensure that students settle in quickly and enjoy their first few weeks at Alsop High School. This includes a close relationship with our feeder primary schools; opportunities for students to visit Alsop and an effective induction process to familiarise students and families with Alsop High School before and after their arrival.

If you have any queries about the transition programme please contact Mr Leatherbarrow on 0151 235 1200 or a.leatherbarrow@alsophigh.org.uk

At Alsop High School we follow the Liverpool City Council Admissions Policy and so students are allocated places at our school by the local authority.

For more information you can contact the school office on 0151 235 1200 or the Liverpool City Council Admissions Team on 0151 233 3006.

Furthermore you can visit the Liverpool City Council website and look in the Schools and Learning section. There you can complete an online form or simply gain more information about the admissions procedure for maintained schools.
