Alsop honoured at the Educate Awards 2018

Alsop High School has won an Educate Award for the third successive year at the prestigious Educate Awards ceremony held in Liverpool Anglican Cathedral on Friday 16th November.


Alsop joined over 600 guests for the Educate Awards ceremony, hosted by broadcaster Simon ‘Rossie’ Ross. On the night, 21 awards were handed out to schools in the Liverpool City Region, Lancashire, Cheshire and Greater Manchester.

Alsop walked away with the prestigious Communication Award for their work in promoting respect and civic pride in north Liverpool. The SEND Department, were awarded runner up prize for the SEND Award. This was in recognition of the outstanding innovative work undertaken by the school Nurture Group.

The Communication Award, sponsored by the Foundry Agency, was presented to Alsop by Ms Fiona Barnet. Ms Barnet comments:

Huge congratulations to Alsop High School for their outstanding communication strategy in north Liverpool and beyond. The Foundry Agency is proud to be the sponsor of this wonderful category. Well Done Alsop.”


The school has creatively engaged with partner primary schools and community members to highlight the positive achievements of young people. As a result, there has been national interest in the school and high profile figures such as the Governor of the Bank of England, Mark Carney has delivered a motivational message to students. The school also hosted an event to celebrate the 70 th Birthday of the National Health Service.
