Alsop students raise £1100 for St Vincent's School for the Blind

Staff and students from Alsop High School took part in the 2017 Liverpool Half Marathon on Sunday 2 nd April raising sponsorship funds for St Vincent’s School for the Blind in West Derby, Liverpool.

There was a good mix of students ranging from Year 10 to Year 13, alongside a small group of ex Alsop High School students and Parents.

The course is predominantly flat and definitely leaves runners a chance of a personal best. The only incline occurs as you run up Upper Parliament Street early on at around the 1 mile mark.

From there runners make their way around the magnificent Victorian Sefton Park before reaching the prom and a pancake flat four miles to the finish.

The students did a fantastic job raising £1100 in sponsorship funds for the Charity. The runners will be visiting St Vincent’s School for the Blind to donate the cheque.
