Year 7 and Year 8 Alsop High Students have taken part in the new BikeRight Cycling Course. The initiative is the new Cycling Proficiency for the 21st century.

The course is designed to give the next generation of students the skills and confidence to ride their bikes on today's roads. Students will be taught to ride a bike to National Standards and introduce them to cycling as a fun and everyday activity, and as an alternative, low cost mode of transport. Level 3 training enables children to ride on busy roads more safely and opens up their options for travel.

How much will it cost?

Nothing! The course is funded by Department for Transport grants and offered as part of your local authority’s TravelWise campaign.
