Santa Cycle Brings Joy to Alder Hey

The annual Alsop High School Santa Cycle Ride took place on Sunday 18th December.

The cyclists took part in the ride bringing some festive joy and presents to poorly children staying in Alder Hey Hospital over the Christmas period. This year saw the inclusion of both Breckfield North Everton Neighborhood Council (BNENC), Merseyside Police, St Vincent’s School for the Blind and Daisy UK.

Staff and students dressed in full Santa outfits to cycle through Walton Park onto the Loop line to Alder Hey Children’s Hospital to deliver sacks of presents to the children in the Hospital.

This year’s Santa Cycle was the most successful yet, the event saw around 400 members of the local community joining the charity cycle to help spread a little bit of Christmas cheer to children and families who are spending Christmas in Hospital.

A Big thank you to the Alsop High School who donated presents and congratulations to the staff and students that took part in the Ride.
