Last week we had an inspiring assembly week for our students as each year group had the opportunity to explore their futures with industry professionals and expert speakers.

  • Years 11, 12 & 13 – Careers Connect delivered an in-depth session on degree apprenticeships, opening students’ eyes to high-level pathways beyond sixth form.
  • Year 10 – A truly aspirational assembly from Robbie Blackhurst, Director of Black Capital Group, offering insight into ambition, leadership and career building.
  • Year 9 – A fascinating look into opportunities with the British Army – the UK’s No.1 apprenticeship provider – showcasing routes that progress skills, qualifications and purpose.
  • Year 8 – An exciting introduction to Army Cadets, highlighting how the programme can build character, confidence and experiences that stand out in future careers.
  • Year 7 – A thought-provoking session with Nick from Barclays Bank, learning vital skills on spotting fraud and staying safe online.

Our students were buzzing all week, continuing conversations sparked by these assemblies and reflecting on the opportunities ahead. The sessions have truly lit a thought-provoking spark, inspiring ambition, curiosity and future planning across all year groups.

A huge thank you to all our guest speakers for giving their time and expertise, you’ve made a lasting impact!
