We’ve had a fantastic day celebrating World Book Day across the school!

Staff shared extracts from their favourite books to inspire new reading choices, while students have been recommending their favourite reads to each other.

Our Year 7 and 8 students spent time in the library choosing a book and taking part in a range of fun activities including book cover design, code breakers, reading anagrams, acrostic poem competitions and a lucky dip. They can also enter a competition to win a Kindle or book vouchers by writing a letter to a famous author Vanessa Taylor (author of the best-selling children's book series Baller Boys) explaining what their dream read would be.

And of course, staff joined in the fun with some brilliant book-themed outfits! 

Tonight’s challenge: Students are challenged to choose reading instead of screen time!!
