On Thursday 5th November, a group of 14 students represented Alsop on a trip to Liverpool John Moore's University for the Debate Mate's programme launch. The morning was spent networking, participating and contributing to a staged debate that would allow new students to see exactly what a professional debate looks like. One of our own members, Amelie K(Year 10) was selected to be first speaker of Team Proposition in the show debate, and she delivered an impressive argument without fault in front of 10+ schools from around Liverpool. Not only has she represented Alsop to the best of her ability, she has shown great leadership skills in her modelling for a group of younger students. The future of the debate team is in strong hands!
